Crusaders castle of 12th century built on the ruins of Roman city. At the same site you can find prehistoric settlements, ruins of Phoenician city, tombs of Egyptian kings with presents from Pharaons (were found in their tombs, but now they are in the museum)... The castle was used as main fortification building during Osman rule up to the beginning of XX century and was rebuild many times.
