IT IS NOT ONLY ABOUT A BEAUTIFUL, COLORFUL PICTURE OR A FANCY DESTINATION... (Al Assi River-Hermel, Lebanon) IT IS NOT ONLY ABOUT A BEAUTIFUL, COLORFUL PICTURE OR A FANCY DESTINATION OR A BREATHTAKING SUNSET ... !!! We are 5 million Lebanese in this relatively small country but the issue is that we have around 1.5 million Syrian refugees ... You do the math and tell me the percentage ... knowing that bigger countries and economically much better than us, couldn't even handle 10% of this number. Point made !!! During my day in Hermel, I walked along the Al-Assi river wondering around with no specific destination in mind. A shepherd here with his cows (he knows each one of them by it's name) another one there with his sheep ... an old couple sitting in front of their humble house and when I said hi they directly replied and invited me to have some cold water or a cup of tea and to rest a bit ... We miss that kindness and simple way of living in the big cities. We tend to complicate things, we want the bigger, the better, the most sophisticated ... we want everything and still feel we have nothing. I stayed half an hour just looking at those Syrian kids, having the time of their lives by only playing with this primitive and simple raft ... #ig_lebanon #lebanonspotlights #syrianrefugees #un #natgeo #lebanonoutdoors #onlyonelebanon #mycountrylebanon #feellebanon #wearelebanon #livelovebekaa
