October 17, 2018 by tracyoginiNatarajasana or king dancer pose is one of my all time favorite yoga postures. Balancing on one leg develops an incredible amount of focus and determination. It brings the mind to the present moment and cultivates an inner sense of stillness. This posture is also a deep stretch for most major muscles in the body: the hamstring, quadricep, hip flexor, abdomen/back, and shoulders. It is accessible to everybody with the help of a strap yet in order to do it comfortably and reach a deeper expression of it, many preparatory postures are quite helpful. We will explore them in tonight’s flow leading up to our peak posture.
