Patriarch Elias Howayek tomb.
Died on 24 December 1931, he is hailed as the father of Lebanonism and the founder of the modern Lebanese state by some. Many Lebanese people hailed his patriotism, and follow his example and maintain it to this day. Howayek is considered, by some, the founder of Lebanon.
