Makhlouta, meaning “mixed”, is a hearty traditional lebanese soup made... Makhlouta, meaning “mixed”, is a hearty traditional lebanese soup made from multiple grains and cooked with caramelised onions. The combination of chickpeas, lentils, a variety of beans, rice and potatoes are the ingredients put together to create this medley of deliciousness. Waking up this morning with a mild case of the flu, made me think of those cold winters nights and days in my village in lebanon when my mum would prepare a massive pot of makhlouta #مخلوطة #soup to fill us up and keep us warm. My brothers and I would gather around the table for dinner laughing and teasing each other about who would be more affected by the soup. Now, we are all familiar with the after effects of all these grains mixed together.......right! 😂. Hope you are all having a wonderful week so far. Love and blessings to all. ❤️🙏
