October 10, 2018 by sahtein_lebanesefeastsMy grandfather once told me the story about the rare occasions he used to go to see the doctor a few villages away from ours. It was a 2 hour walk. He would take a dozen fresh eggs with him or a bucket of home made yogurt. That was payment for the doctorβs services. Thatβs called haggling. Last night I called my niece to come pick up a small #platter I prepared for her kids. Her daughter Sophia comes in with a big grin on her face carrying a container with two #eggs inside. My niece tells me that these two freshly laid eggs are a payment for the platter. I was horrified. "What? 2 measley eggs for a platter with the lot", I exclaimed. "They are organic. The chicken just laid them." My niece was quick to respond. Well, I can't argue with that. It's not every day one gets to eat eggs straight out of the chickens ass. πππππππππ
