More than twenty interesting old inscriptions and stelae are carved into the limestone rock overlooking a dubious seaside resort: from Ramses II and his army, to Assirians, Babylonians, Greeks.....Romans up to the troups of the English and French armies during the inauspicious colonial time (sigh!), all of them and many others more left a sign there a kind of warning for future generations to come. The site is left to its sad destiny among garbage but it's still worth a visit. Amen 🙏🏻
