May 14, 2017 by j.grove.lebanonPine needle tea has often been consumed by ancestors, hunters and explorers worldwide. Today, research shows that not only is pine needle tea heart-healthy, but it also contains a good dose of antioxidants like vitamin A and C (even more vitamin C than an orange, according to more studies). The best news is that it’s very easy to make: - Get a handful of fresh, young pine needles and wash them. - Chop the brown ends off and the rest of the needles into small pieces. - Allow to steep in hot water until the needles sink to the bottom, and cover to hold in more of the essential oils. The darker the tea, the more vitamin C. - You can also use Forest Honey as the ideal sweetener. Sit back and enjoy your nutritious drink!
