Bake me circular! We have a thriving sharing community in traditional form... Bake me circular! We have a thriving sharing community in traditional form here in Lebanon, particularly at the furn! A local resident has brought in their preparred kebbeh, (our national dish of minced lamb and burghul cracked wheat) to the baker to pop in.. saves on gas, energy use and keeps the baker's already fired up oven busy!! Here we are at the local furn ordering a round of manakeesh, traditional flatbread topped with a variety of layered goodness! These used to be served only wrapped in paper and in a paper bag, but now the go to is a plastic bag! The baker said.. "Even when I try to first put it in a paper bag, the people ask for a plastic bag for their paper bag to go in!! Little do they know the smell from plastic and how it effects their fresh baked experience, but hey!" Lead by example and order #balaplastic ;-) you'll find most are shocked at first and then wishing others would do the same. So start and lead the way🐙 share your stories and tag us to spread the experiences towards a sustainable Lebanon. #circulareconomy #sharingcommunity #regenerate #plasticfreebag #plasticpollutes #wastecrisis #lebanon #livelovelebanon
