This Lebanese flag waves from the crusader citadel, that overlooks the the city of Byblos (Jbeil). This city has been inhabited for over 9000 years. Here Phoenician, Egyptian, Persian, Roman, Crusader and Islamic ruins lie side by side. Believed to be the home of the modern alphabet.
